Spectrum is an Australian progressive rock band which formed in April 1969 and broke up in April 1973.
During October 1971, Spectrum formed a side project, Indelible Murtceps, using the same line-up of Mike Rudd on vocals and guitar, Lee Neale on electric piano, Bill Putt on bass guitar and Ray Arnott on drums. They performed at pubs, and local dances, playing a more dance/pop-oriented repertoire and using a simpler set-up than when performing as Spectrum. By September 1972 Neale had left both bands; he was replaced by John Mills on keyboards.
In April 1973, Spectrum disbanded which also ended Indelible Murtceps.
