HEAVY BLAXPLOITATION SOUNDTRACK WORK FROM JB. Early 70's all the way, complete with righteous theme song and funkier support tracks. Checkout the genius in "Transmograpfication" as James Brown lays back in the cut for a more subdued but seriously funky sound. "Happy for the Poor" is a disguised version of the popular JB's 45 " Gimmie Some More." You'll also hear JB sneak in some latin flavor (you didn't know he could do that) on the dance classic "To My Brother" and "Really Really Really." Although it lacks a knockout track, like "Blind Man Can See" on Black Caesar, this is a solid listen all the way through. Official 2018 Polydor pressing, complete with tip-on gatefold jacket.
