El Record Store Day 2025 precede al décimo aniversario del sexto álbum de estudio del cantante y compositor inglés Frank Turner, Positive Songs For Negative People (lanzado en agosto de 2015) y trae el próximo álbum de la serie de ediciones coleccionables del décimo aniversario de Turner. Positive Songs For Negative People debutó originalmente en el #2 en las listas de álbumes del Reino Unido y #69 en el Billboard 200.
Prensado en vinilo azul y rojo de edición limitada, el álbum original está acompañado por un segundo LP extra que contiene las caras B del EP Mittens por primera vez en vinilo, así como el inédito 'Hamburg Demos' original.
Al igual que en ediciones anteriores, esta reedición ampliada se presenta en una llamativa funda desplegable de efecto metálico, dentro de una O-Card. El inserto de 4 páginas contiene letras y nuevas notas escritas por Frank, reflexionando sobre el tiempo alrededor de la creación de este álbum.
El álbum fue grabado en Traxidermy Studios, Nashville, Tennessee, en diciembre de 2014 con la banda de Frank, The Sleeping Souls, y el productor Butch Walker. Los demos fueron grabados en WilhelmsRock, Hamburgo, Alemania. Todo masterizado y cortado por Frank Arkwright en Abbey Road Studios.
Este lanzamiento sigue al reciente décimo álbum de estudio de Turner, Undefeated, y a una extensa gira por el Reino Unido, Europa, América y Canadá a lo largo de 2024 y 2025. Este lanzamiento se presentará como parte de la campaña War Child 2025.

Record Store Day 2025 precedes the tenth anniversary of English singer-songwriter Frank Turner’s sixth studio album, Positive Songs For Negative People (released in August 2015) and brings the next album in the series of Turner’s collectible tenth anniversary editions. Positive Songs For Negative People originally debuted at #2 on the UK album charts, and #69 on the Billboard 200.
Pressed on limited edition blue and red vinyl, the original album is accompanied by a second bonus LP containing the Mittens EP B-sides for the first time on vinyl, as well as the previously unreleased original ‘Hamburg Demos’.
In line with previous editions, this expanded reissue is packaged in a striking metallic effect gatefold sleeve, within an O-Card. The 4 page insert contains lyrics and new liner notes written by Frank, reflecting on the time around the creation of this album.
The album was recorded at Traxidermy Studios, Nashville, TN, in December 2014 with Frank’s band, The Sleeping Souls, and producer Butch Walker. The demos were recorded at WilhelmsRock, Hamburg, Germany. All mastered and cut by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios.
This release follows Turner’s recent tenth studio album, Undefeated, and extensive touring through UK, Europe, America and Canada throughout 2024 into 2025.
