Cuando en 1973 salió a la venta el disco Makeup, con su increíble portada de imitación de piel simulando una maleta, fue una revolución en cuanto a packaging se refiere.
Hoy en dia, por el vinilo original completo con la carpeta en buen estado se pagan cientos de euros en los mercados de coleccionistas. Sin embargo, aparte del precioso embalaje, Makeup no hizo mucho por afianzar la considerable reputación que el grupo tenía por entonces y la banda se deshizo y sus miembros siguieron caminos distintos justo después de que éste disco saliera al mercado. Aunque el disco ha sido descrito como "inconsciente", encontramos en su interior temazos que reflejan las distintas influencias que el grupo nipón absorvió en su corta pero brillante carrera.

When released in 1973, Makeup, with its incredible faux-leather imitation attache case outer bag, looked every bit the last word in over-the-top packaging and now originals, complete and in good condition, fetch hundreds of dollars in the collectors market. Howver, despit the lavish packaging, Makeup did little to enhance the groups already considerable reputation and the various band members went their separate ways immediately after the album’s release. Although the album has been described as “inconsistent” there are some definate stand-out tracks and generally Makeup reflects the varied influences that the band drew on throughout their sadly short career.
