Editado por el sello Hobblers en una tirada limitada a solo 100 copias numeradas en vinilo marmoleado verde y naranja, «Pearls! Volume One» contiene 11 grabaciones en directo procedentes de distintos conciertos ofrecidos por Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band entre 2013, 2014 y 2016 en Alemania, Irlanda, Nueva Zelanda, Estados Unidos y Australia. Se trata, en su gran mayoría, de una selección de versiones que confirma la amplitud de miras, el buen gusto y la vasta cultura musical del músico de Nueva Jersey, que aquí interpreta temas de artistas como Dobie Gray («Drift Away», que el Boss empezó a interpretar en los años 80), The Temptations, The Troggs, Lorde, Van Halen, Martha & the Vandellas, Wilson Pickett, Roy Head & The Traits, Prince y David Bowie. Por su parte, «Seven Angels» es una toma descartada de las sesiones de «Human Touch» que apareció en la caja recopilatoria «Tracks» en 1998.

A rare test pressing produced for audio quality control prior to the final vinyl release. Test pressings are highly sought-after by collectors due to their limited production and their unique place in the record manufacturing process. Released on the Hobblers label in a limited edition of just 100 individually numbered copies on blue/orange marbled vinyl, «Pearls! Volume One» features 11 live recordings taken from various concerts performed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the United States and Australia between 2013, 2014 and 2016. Almost all of the tracks are covers, showcasing the New Jersey musician’s broad musical horizons, good taste and extensive musical knowledge as he takes on songs by artists including Dobie Gray («Drift Away», which the Boss began performing in the 1980s), the Temptations, the Troggs, Lorde, Van Halen, Martha & the Vandellas, Wilson Pickett, Roy Head & the Traits, Prince and David Bowie. «Seven Angels», meanwhile, is an outtake from the «Human Touch» sessions that appeared on the «Tracks» box set in 1998.
