El álbum fue producido por la propia banda y publicado en dos mezclas estéreo diferentes. La mezcla más ampliamente distribuida es la realizada por el ingeniero de personal de MGM/Verve, Val Valentin. La otra mezcla la hizo Lou Reed, potenciando su voz y sus solos de guitarra, al mismo tiempo que reducía el nivel de otros instrumentos. Esta versión fue apodada 'Closet Mix' por Sterling Morrison, porque le sonaba como si hubiera sido grabada en un armario. La diferencia más curiosa es que las dos versiones usan interpretaciones completamente diferentes de 'Some Kinda Love', ambas tomadas de las mismas sesiones de grabación.

The album was produced by the band themselves, and issued in two different stereo mixes. The more widely distributed mix is the one done by MGM/Verve staff engineer Val Valentin. The other mix was done by Lou Reed, boosting his vocals and guitar solos, while reducing the level of other instruments. This version was dubbed the 'Closet Mix' by Sterling Morrison, because it sounded to him as if it had been recorded in a closet. The most dramatic difference is that the two versions use entirely different performances of 'Some Kinda Love', both taken from the same recording sessions
