Phasing dumped all over the place, soul screams borne of skinny white boys imitating the machismo of Otis Redding/Tom Jones, ratty fuzz that bulldozes everything in it's path, drum rolls that blast right through verses & choruses. Though made everywhere from Santa Barbara to Rio, this is the sound of Spanish/Italian psychedelia. You get some known practicioners like Nino Bravo, effective fakers like the otherwise softpop band Fabulous Farquahr, and even a bit of femme garage & ye-ye thrown in for a little off-topic variety.
