A Quick One se lanzó originalmente el 9 de diciembre de 1966. Alcanzó el puesto número 4 en el Reino Unido. A diferencia de otros álbumes de The Who, donde el guitarrista Pete Townshend fue el compositor principal o único, A Quick One cuenta con importantes contribuciones compositivas de todos los miembros de la banda. El álbum termina con una suite musical titulada "A Quick One, While He's Away", que sirvió de inspiración para óperas rock posteriores en las que la banda participó, como Tommy y Quadrophenia.
Esta edición de 2 LP, exclusiva para el Record Store Day, incluye el álbum original (en mono), así como un LP con caras B, versiones alternativas y temas instrumentales. Presenta un elegante empaque con bolsas interiores impresas y está prensado en vinilo de color.

A Quick One was originally released on December 9, 1966. It reached #4 in the U.K.
Unlike other albums by The Who, where guitarist Pete Townshend was the primary or sole songwriter, A Quick One features significant songwriting contributions from all band members. The album ends with a musical suite titled "A Quick One, While He's Away", which served as an inspiration for later rock operas the band was involved with, such as Tommy and Quadrophenia.
This 2-LP version for Record Store Day includes the original album (in mono) as well as an LP of B-sides, alternate versions, and instrumentals. Lavishly packaged with printed inner bags and pressed on color vinyl.
