Dr. Alimantado’s 1979 album King’s Bread, subtitled Jah Love Forever, is a truly wonderful piece of roots reggae dub. The Dr., who was also known as The Ital Surgeon, is a true Rastafari producer and singer, and he mostly sticks to deep-reverbed instrumental tracks on King’s Bread, although there are some bits of his voice rising up from the depths here and there.
