  • Classic 1974 power pop album reissued on 140g red vinyl
  • Features the cult anthem “September Gurls”

ENGLISH

Originally released in 1974, Radio City is Big Star’s second studio album and one of the most influential power pop records of all time. The band, led by Alex Chilton with Andy Hummel and Jody Stephens, crafted a collection of raw, melodic, and emotionally charged songs that would go on to inspire countless alternative rock and indie artists in the decades to follow. With the departure of Chris Bell after their debut, Chilton took the lead on songwriting, delivering enduring tracks like the shimmering September Gurls, the swaggering opener O, My Soul, and the fragile closer I’m in Love with a Girl. Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis and engineered by John Fry, the album maintains a perfect tension between polished hooks and lo-fi edge.

This Klimt Records reissue comes pressed on 140g red vinyl and remains a vital document of Big Star’s timeless songwriting and sonic experimentation.
